The Warehouse Management Solution is one of the most powerfull modules that Clarus has to offer.
The module was implemented for clients that use pallet storage warehouses, with a large number of locations and items (SKU).
The basic functionalities of the program are:
1. Taking in orders for deliveries.
2. Order planning based on certain criteria.
3. Eliminating picking errors.
4. Checking of picking and wrapping of items into pallets.
5. Determining the order in which the orders are loaded into the truck.
6. Taking in purchase orders.
7. Labeling of received items.
8. Supply planning (critical inventory, MRP, etc.).
9. The "Put away" plan is devised based on a combination of defined rules.
10. Order generation for stock replaning.
11. Alocation of replaning orders and tracking of their execution.
12. Inventory. The inventory can be done by fully stopping all tranzactions or in an "on-line" manner, counting items on the shelf and generating an inventory balance withouth stopping any sales transactions.
13. Added services such as: assembly kits, promotional packages (Kitting).
14. Printing of shipping notices, packing list, etc..
The program alows paralel picking, for one or more pickers, on different locations/warehouses. The pickers are tracked on-line inside the warehouse. Their route is optimised. Any unconfirmed items are returned to their original location.
Order planning can be done in a "pick by item", "pick by order", "pick by truck", "pick by region" manner, or in any combination of these in the same planning wave.
At the commissioning of items you can choose from FIFO, LIFO, FEFO algorithms to decide which item of a particular type should be first. You can generate "uneven" pallets of a "container" type, which is palles that are themselves made up of several different items.
Delivery of the orders can be done as a total, partially or with other quantities depending on availability. The quantities that were not delivered are kept (back order) and can be delivered at a later date. You can reserve stock and confirm the ballance for important clients.
The reserving of stock is done by the "soft allocation" method and gives the assurance that the requested quantities are delivered. Fully delivered orders automatically close and are saved in the database.
Reserved orders have a deadline by witch they have to be delivered. You can choose to automatically release the stock if the client does not retrieve the items in time.
A location in a warehouse can have items of the same type or different items.
On a location (shelf) you can have multiple units of storage (boxes) with different items. You can define locations for assembly/disassembly of storage units.
